The ceiling fan is excellent! However, the light on the bottom is not good! It\'s halogen and it\'s too weak. I would greatly prefer two 75 watt incandescent bulbs.

I found the light well packed and looked as good as picture.  However, the electrician wanted to  smash it due to the difficulty putting it in.   From what I saw, the wires from the lamp had to be pulled through the long screw-like bolt, and he really didn\\\\\\\'t think it was ever going to fit.  It didn\\\\\\\'t even look like all the wires could possibly fit, but with stretching and cursing, they did.

This fan is even better than I had expected.  It is a physically beautiful fan with impeccable design.  It is actually quieter than I had thought it would be.  In fact its silent.  The only noise it makes at all is the sound of wind blowing when turned to its highest setting.  It perfectly complements and holds its own with all of my GE gallery brushed stainless appliances.  I couldn’t imagine my kitchen without it.

Best purchase I ever made.

I live in Michigan where losing your home is as common as the mail man giving you your neighbor's mail. After a year of near homelessness- I was able to find a house for my family- not elegant- nothing like the one we had lost. As we paint and decorate the home it slowly is becoming beautiful. I decided to splurge a little and purchase two lights from the Summer Hill collection for our kitchen. It gave us instant elegance! Honestly, old friends just think we moved- no one suspects that we lost everything. Those lights really are that stunning.

Everything went well until the package was received.  Two of the three glass globes were broken.  When we called customer service, they were very helpful and responsive and arranged for replacements to be sent.  Replacements were received, packed extremely well.  Unfortunately the two new globes are a different color and do not match the one globe that was unbroken in the original package.  Now we are in process of notifying Lighting Showroom of this complication.  I do not have anything unflattering to say about Lighting Showroom but this is becoming a very frustrating and time-consuming experience. My favorable rating above for delivery is for the time it took to be delivered...not for the damaged globes inside.

LightingShowroom's customer service was timely and efficient. I got an answer immediately when I called the 800 number to ask inquire about the materials used for the items I wanted to order, and again when I called to inquire about the tracking numbers. The only issue I have is that the items I ordered (two bathroom vanities) look different than they do on the website. On the site, the glass bulb covers look like a "tannish frost," whereas in reality, they are white which is not what I wanted. I have to live with them now to avoid paying the shipping to send them back.

Thanks so much for the request to ship my order by tomorrow. I appreciate it greatly.

All this morning I have been thinking about canceling my order because I worry waiting for 4-5 days to ship and 1-5 days shipping time won't help me to make my installation on time as I mentioned in my comments. But now I feel relieved that my order can be shipped tomorrow.

I checked that and found out that UPS ground may only take a very short time to transit the package to Florida (where I live). Just hope this is the service they choose so I can receive it faster too. Please help me to request it if possible.

Even though the first fixture was the wrong one, all I had to do was call customer service and they promptly had Fed Ex pick up the next morning. All I had to do was place on the front porch for the pick up. Within 3 days I had the correct fixture and I must say it was beautiful !!!

After checking Home Depot and a local lighting stores, my wife and I couldn't find the outdoor lighting fixtures we wanted.  We did a web search and came across Lighting Showroom. I often buy over the Internet but am usually reluctant to buy from sites I know nothing about.  I did a quick check of Lighting Showroom and read the reviews.  What impressed me more than the high positive ratings was their thoughtful responses to the few negative reviews. But I still felt I was buying from an unknown vendor.

 

The selection of lights were great and the prices were as low as, if not lower than, other on-line sites we checked.  We ordered four lights on Saturday night.  We received an acknowledgment of the order and were told we would receive an email when the lights shipped.  I hadn't heard anything by Thursday, so I called, expecting long waits, a phone tree and frustration. To my surprise a real person picked up the phone and she was friendly and responsive. She said she would check my order and she put me on hold for no more than a minute or two. When she came back she said the order had shipped from the factory and would be at my house on Saturday.

 

Saturday morning the fixtures arrived as promised and everything was as ordered. 

 

It appears Lighting Showroom, like most of these Web stores, doesn't stock the merchandise, but orders it from the factory, which directly ships to your home.  So you are really paying for the Web storefront, efficiency in processing the order and customer service.  Other than the very minor glitch of not receiving notice when the order shipped, this was as smooth of a Web transaction as I've had.   I will use Lighting Showroom again and highly recommend them.

Awesome interaction with the online CHAT feature. I was in a hurry to get the lights and needed to know exactly when they would ship. The assistant called Hudson Valley to confirm the actual ship date so I was confident in the date I would receive the lights - which is the sooner the better ! I purchased this in a regular store first and waited and waited for delivery-it was on back order-but no one told me that! I cancelled that order after I found that same fixture  at lighting showroom-over $100.00 less; I was thrilled. Customer service called me right less than ten minutes after I ordered it to tell me that it was on back order and gave me the option of cancelling. Wow, overall a great experience, great price, great service and quick delivery. I would recommend lighting showroom and will purchase again.

This company seems to be a real class act, with a great understanding of customer service.  There service staff is extremely cordial, and polite to converse with.  They had a great selection of ceiling medallions with the best pricing we were able to find.  We had to send one back because of my wife's error in judgment and they allowed us to return it and order a larger one.  As it turned out I dropped one of the smaller medallions as I as gluing it to the ceiling, I had to reorder the first one we sent back, proving that my wife is never wrong.  She was planning ahead for my incompetence. I would not have taken my time to respond to this survey had I thought that they could  have treated me any better. It has probably been five years since I have responded positively to a survey such as this.

Dani,.....  Our re-ordered medallion arrived a day early.  More importantly, I am impressed with the cordial and helpful service as well as the super communications the team at Lighting Showroom has provided about the status of the return and the replacement order for what was a customer error.   I have even received a note stating that our card has already been credited with the return.   Somebody is responsible for some great employee hiring as well as creating great policies, procedures and training.  Certainly the companies product line had items we wanted, and I certainly did not find better pricing.  Trust me,... I don't make a habit of spending my time writing nice notes to people, or companies.  If that happens once a year, its got to be for a special reason.  

 

We originally ordered two of the same medallions because my wife didn't listen to my original advise.  I love saying that she was wrong and I was right.  It happens so rarely ( so I have been told ). 

 

Make sure this gets to the right people.   If I was the owner of Lighting Showroom, and read this email it would make my day.

 

FYI,.... something someone might want to look into!   The box the medallion came in was practically falling open.  For that reason I immediately opened it to make sure that nothing was damaged.  To open it the rest of the way I only had to rip one more piece of tape.  Actually I could have pulled it out without ripping one more piece of tape.     There was no damage to the medallion.    Seems like the the manufacturer is being skimpy with the use of tape.  I actually had the same impression on the first two medallions we received as well, even though they were not falling open. 

 

Going forward we will always look for lighting at Lighting Showroom before we even consider buying elsewhere.  Should we have the occasion to pass on the great experience we had with Lighting Showroom with friends, we will gladly

do so.
