Quite an impressive light. The title must have meaning other than color for the torquoise (or I am not smart enough to know the meaning!) because the color is brownish with an underlying gold hue. They are beautiful lights though and an exceptional value for the money. We had to change our plans when we got them though because they are quite tall and won\'t look right on anything small...especially on top of pier mounts.

I.m sorry to say that i was a little upset on the color I was expecting pewter and got antique gold I was a little desappointed. I wanted this done for christmas. So I put it up Love the light and the color will have to grow on me. Pewter is the only color it came in. Go figure how gold came.

This fixture gives an excellent bright light. The bulbs are difficult to remove and can successfully removed by inserting a screw driver at the base of the bulb. I tried to remove a bulb by pulling it from the socket. Only a super hard pull will remove it -- and I broke both of the fluorescent bulbs. These are the type of bulbs that contain mercury. I have written to the manufacturer and suggested that bulb removal instruction be placed prominently on the inside of the fixture itself. This is an excellent fixture that only needs a good safety warning about bulb removal.

Anyone with vaulted or cathedral ceilings needs a more powerful fan to move the large volume of air the higher ceilings contain--sometimes almost double the space contained in a regular room with 8 foot ceilings. Depending on room dimensions, \'great room\' spaces could need 2 or 3 extra large fans if you\'re serious about using it efficiently to cool or keep a room heated. This fan is terrific. We could tell the difference immediately between it and the old smaller one. The design is beautiful, the electrician installing was impressed by its craftmanship. All the parts/pieces came with it, and it took him only an hour to assemble and install it. Definitely a quality piece.
