This fixture gives an excellent bright light. The bulbs are difficult to remove and can successfully removed by inserting a screw driver at the base of the bulb. I tried to remove a bulb by pulling it from the socket. Only a super hard pull will remove it -- and I broke both of the fluorescent bulbs. These are the type of bulbs that contain mercury. I have written to the manufacturer and suggested that bulb removal instruction be placed prominently on the inside of the fixture itself. This is an excellent fixture that only needs a good safety warning about bulb removal.
