when our mirror arrived, I was pleased at how well it was packaged - no transit damage/breakage. It did have a flaw along one of the long sides, but since we hung in across the top of our fireplace mantel with only 1\" to spare both top and bottom, the flaw is not visable. the flaw was in the wood finish and about 6\" in length, so it would have been a problem for a different application than ours.
