The shade is beautiful with the light turned off, but when the light is turned on, the shade is not nearly as nice - in fact, it is rather ugly with a large dark area on the bottom of the shade which blocks the light.

I ordered this light because it was the only matching post light for this Maxim Craftsman set.  While all of the other lights are nice, this one is so out of place.  Its puny really.  I can’t imagine why the post light is one of the smallest lights of this line.  While I like all of the other lights we ordered, I'm so disappointed in this one

Love this fixture! We placed it in our foyer and it looks great! It also arrived very well packaged! The bronze color is darker than pictured on site which was perfect because we have oil rubbed bronze fixtures in our house. I would recommend this fixture for a foyer any time!

Assembly was a little tricky  but otherwise, it looks perfect over our kitchen table We needed good, but not harsh, lighting for  reading paperwork, elderly parents to see when eating, etc. This fits in with our Tuscan decor and we' ve received several compliments. I just love it- very classy and tasteful. The glass globes are soft  gold and the bronze is dark. Not a wallhugger- needed the chain -3 links.

Great product very well built, easy to install, no noise on high speed Very great buy.  The only con would be that the light could be brighter. The light do not shine as a 100 watt bulb, more like 40 watts, otherwise this is an excellent product to buy.  I installed it in my kitchen and helps a lot with cooling during cooking..
